Anniversary Roast
We're celebrating 29 years, and we couldn't have done it without you! To mark this milestone, we've created a special anniversary blend that's as unique as our history. This year’s roast is a special tri-blend from Vietnam, Costa Rica, and Ethiopia—a testament to the global connections that make coffee so special. Come celebrate with us and enjoy a cup of this limited-time roast. Here's to good coffee, great friends, and another year of brewing together!

Roast Level: Medium
Origin: Costa Rica, Vietnam, Ethiopia
Tasting Notes: Fruity and Balanced

Since PCR's start, we've maintained coffees in our lineup from the three main coffee-growing regions of the world: Latin America, Africa, and SE Asia. This year, our Anniversary Roast celebrates this tradition by blending unique coffees from each sector. One from Costa Rica’s Tarrazú region, one from Ethiopia’s Guji region, and one from Vietnam from the Son La Region. Some of these growing regions are familiar and traditional to our lineup, while others are new!

Tasting notes from our team cuppings:

The beauty and uniqueness of every coffee we buy, continually fuels my curiosity about quality and sustainability – including caring for the land and the people who work in coffee-growing regions.

Co-founder and managing partner, Mark Stell, made two important coffee-related trips in the early 90's. He attended an Earth Summit in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, to learn about the impact of climate change and sustainability. He also visited coffee farms for the first time in Costa Rica and El Salvador – where he learned what it takes to grow good coffee. These visits shaped the mission of Portland Coffee Roasters.
Beginning with our first direct trade coffee from La Hilda Estate in Costa Rica, we have committed to investing in our coffee growing communities. These investments included ensuring our partners in East Africa gained access to clean drinking water, assisting building schools in India, Sumatra, and Papua New Guinea, and helping bring sanitation facilities to farming families in Colombia and Guatemala.
Creating strong and lasting relationships with our global coffee community is a fundamental value of who we are.
Thank you for being a part of our journey, and cheers to 29 years!
